Thursday, December 15, 2011, by Cristina Cerullo 500X350_AM04_Body%20%281%29.jpgHundreds of prototypes, thousands of tests, 22 engineers, and 3 years of testing went into the Dyson Hot™ fan heater. The result is bladeless and pretty damn sexy.

If you’re familiar with the science behind turbo chargers, jet engines, air inducement and air entrainment, you already know a bit about how Dyson’s Air Multiplier™ technology works. For the rest of us, Air Multiplier technology means that the Dyson Hot™ can heat the whole room faster than any other.

The best part? The Dyson Hot™ can be used as a fan to cool you down, just as easily as it heats you up, so it can stay in your room year round (plus, it looks really good).

The Dyson Hot™ will be your new best friend. Sounds good, looks good, feels good. >>

Thursday, December 8, 2011, by Cristina Cerullo 500X350_AM04_Body%20%281%29.jpg Vacuum cleaners that don’t lose suction. A hand dryer that works in 12 seconds. A fan with no blades. Now Dyson has developed the Dyson Hot™ fan heater.

Most conventional heaters can't heat a whole room quickly because they use spinning blades powered by inefficient motors to distribute the air. The Dyson Hot™ uses Air Multiplier™ technology, which simply means it heats a room faster than any other.

The best part? The Dyson Hot™ can be used as a fan to cool you down just as easily as it heats you up, so it can stay in your room year round (plus, it looks really good).

Tuesday, December 6, 2011, by Austin Pollock 500X350_AM04_Body%20%281%29.jpg Conventional heaters have limited settings. Like a watched pot that never boils, they can’t always heat a whole room quickly. Why? Because they use spinning blades powered by an inefficient motor. Let us introduce you to the Dyson Hot™ fan heater, the sleek, bladeless answer to your woes.

How does the Dyson Hot™ fan heater work? Air is accelerated through an aperture. This creates a jet of hot air that passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction. Surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it 6 times. What does that mean? The Dyson Hot™ heats the whole room faster than any other.

The best part? The Dyson Hot™ can be used as a fan to cool you down just as easily as it heats you up, so it can stay in your room year round (plus, it looks really good).

More On "Fix This Kitchen"

"Fix This Kitchen" to the rescue - again! This season we’ll meet celebrity chef Eric Greenspan, who will team up each week with show host/accomplished designer Nicole Facciuto and a conspiring family member to surprise a frustrated household cook with a complete IKEA kitchen makeover. The homeowner arrives home while the demolition is in progress and learns that they are getting a new kitchen. By the end of the episode, they're cooking a celebratory meal in their new kitchen with Eric and Nicole. It's fun, quirky, and each kitchen is fully designed by IKEA. For even more info on the show and air times, check out the show’s site here.

About The Design Team

The dynamic co-hosts of "Fix This Kitchen" are ready for their next kitchen design challenges!

Nicole high-res.jpeg Host Nicole Facciuto has been helping viewers and homeowners create family-friendly and eco-safe homes as the Host of HGTV's "Red Hot and Green." × Like us and you'll find top breaking news in your Facebook newsfeed. Sign up for our daily email newsletter and get top stories and breaking news delivered to your inbox. Monday, July 25, 2011, by Cristina Cerullo Design-Star-cast.jpg

We’re only three weeks into the competition on HGTV Design Star and we’ve already seen the 12 creative hopefuls re-vamp their NYC penthouse residence (a challenge we’re all too familiar with, minus the penthouse part), as well as transform a white 12x15 space using only restaurant supply items in the iconic “white box challenge”.

The first two episodes whittled the 12 designers down to 10 with the help of the star-powered panel of judges, including special guest Thom Felicia. This week expect power struggles to ensue as the contestants compete in their first homeowner team-challenge, giving old rooms a new lease on life. HGTV's Home By Novogratz stars Robert and Cortney Novogratz will join the judges to critique the competition.

There's plenty of design drama in store on an all-new episode of HGTV Design Star, airing tonight at 9/8c. And don’t forget to check out the HGTV Design Star blog for exit videos, commentary from mentor and Season 1 winner David Bromstad, and sneak peeks. >>
