Lindsay Lohan's relationship with interior design has become strangely public within the last 12 months. First, Bravo, coordinating a Kathryn Ireland storyline for the second season of Million Dollar Decorators, was rumored to have financed the six-figure renovation and redecoration of Lohan's Beverly Hills rental. Soon after, the actress reportedly lost her marbles and refused to film "the big reveal" for the season finale, so Bravo reportedly threatened to repossess all those expensive furnishings. It's unclear what's happened since, but one thing's for sure: Lohan's girly decor has remained, as evidenced by a new Domaine feature entitled "The Reveal You Never Got to See."
After scouting Lohan's house for the first time, Ireland blogged about it being "the most charming Gone With the Wind miniature, and how Lohan "particularly liked my bedroom and my new collection 'Summers In France.' The decor for her bedroom was easily decided upon." Channeling her own "classic English mixed with a laid-back California vibe" for Lohan, who "loves pretty things" and "that whole French look," Ireland mixed in lush, screen-printed fabrics of her own design, French furniture, "my version of a four-poster," and other floral, patterned touches. "I don't really have any rules, except take risks, experiment," Ireland tells Domaine. "I think if you go with the same family of colors—colors that have a relationship to each other—it will work. I love to mix old and new, different eras—different things that I like that just work together."
