In the wake of many successful design partnerships, Target has just announced a new partnership with Italian design house Missoni. The pattern-happy Italianos, famous for their fabulous multi-hued knits (above), will turn out a collection of housewares&mash;and clothing—for the mega-retailer. According to a Target press release, prices are set to range from $2.99 to $599, with most items under $40, which sounds like a boon for budget-minded consumers looking for a splash of color. While there's some concern that the flashy fabrics won't translate well to the necessarily lower quality material, there's nothing in either brand's past to suggest this won't be a home run for accessible design. The collection will be available this fall—from September 13 to October 22—at all Target retailers and online at Target.com.
