Help Wanted: Become the Talk of the Town as a Curbed SF Contributor!

× Like us and you'll find top breaking news in your Facebook newsfeed. Sign up for our daily email newsletter and get top stories and breaking news delivered to your inbox. Monday, November 26, 2012, by Sally Kuchar

helpwanted.jpegDo you read EIRs for fun? Do you have strong feelings about the proposed Golden State Warriors waterfront arena on Piers 30-32? Have you ever had a nightmare about the Central Subway Project? Oh, and are you looking for work? Curbed SF is hiring part-time contributors who love keeping up with all the neighborhood happenings in San Francisco. The very part-time/freelance job would require you to come up with features that are in line with our categories, like breaking down what's on the agenda for this week's Board of Supervisors meeting and writing about houses in San Francisco that are on the market. We're looking for 3 - 5 posts per week. Extra points if you enjoy the drama of a good NIMBY fight. You must absolutely be based in the Bay Area (and love it), preferably San Francisco proper. We're closed on weekends, so this would be a Monday through Friday job.

Interested? No need to dust off the resume. Just send an email to sf@curbed.com with a paragraph about yourself, a paragraph about why you'd like the job, and anything else you think would grab our interest. If we're into it, we'll respond quickly with more details. (If you're employed in the real estate industry, alas, we can't hire you. But we still love you.) Thank you!

card11011.jpg Calling all potential bloggers! Apartment Therapy is looking to add some new voices (and maybe a few new cities!) to our coverage. Do you love interior design, furniture and all things home-related? Would you like a place to share your ideas and inspirations with a large design-centric community? If this is you and you think you'd like to join the Apartment Therapy editorial team, jump below for the details:

This is a part-time, paid, freelance position and it's great (but not required) if your other work plugs you in to the design scene in some way.

Note: We've got a few specific openings to fill for bloggers based in NYC, but have non-location based openings, too. We would love to hear from interested potential bloggers ANYWHERE - skills and style come first, location second.

REQUIREMENTS
• excellent camera skills and a good eye for stellar images
• a great style sense
• strong, accurate blog-style writing skills
• a reliable computer and high speed internet connection
• a good quality digital camera
• Photoshop or Photoshop Elements

The application form asks for the following information:
• Your name and contact information
• Your location
• How long you've been reading Apartment Therapy and what you do full time

The form will also ask for 3 specific sample posts with text and pictures:
• House Call
• Local Trend Report
• Column Idea

We want to be WOWED with your unique voice and awesome pictures! Please submit posts written specifically for Apartment Therapy and not for another blog. Look to the Apartment Therapy archives for the general style and format of posts for submission.

DEADLINE
End of Day, Monday, September 5 (earlier is always appreciated!)

We will confirm the receipt of your submission, and then review your submissions.
Any questions? Write to us.
