"Hey Cole, what are your thoughts on super-sleek modern properties? Have you come across any listings that aren't too stark?"
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the ultra-modern style. A "home" should feel warm and comfortable; most of the super-sleek properties I've seen have a very cold and unwelcoming vibe. Don't take this the wrong way, though, because I do love contemporary design and clean lines. I like to see a mix of contemporary and traditional elements, like the stunning Aspen estate above, one of my favorite homes for sale in the United States. While incorporating floor-to-ceiling windows and many "fresh" appointments, the interior achieves coziness with rich hardwoods and warm color schemes. And that is the main quality that I look to see in a home: coziness. I wish more developers would consider that element before constructing "glassy" estates that look more like office buildings.
