One of the world's great design cities, and one of its all-time great destinations, Paris is chock full of legendary works of art and architecture, but most of it is, well, a bit old and dusty. Throwing much of the Midnight in Paris-style nostalgia to the wind, here now are more recent additions to the City of Light. From stark hotels to glassy restaurants to subterranean clubs (designed by a famous film director no less), these are a dozen of the essential Parisian destinations for the design-minded visitor. So, hop a flight, rent some fashionable digs, or make like a billionaire and buy a $138M mansion, and start exploring.
