Screen-shot-2011-02-02-at-4.22.42-PM.jpgLast night's episode of Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best? included a guest appearance by Sarah Jessica Parker's decorator, Timothy Corrigan—or at the very least his young female associate Julie. (Apparently Corrigan was "out of the country.") Rivers Sr. is outwardly unhappy about this: "When you look up the word 'decorator' in the dictionary," she claims, "you see 'homosexual.'"

Turns out, however, Julie is Julie Fullman, Corrigan's lead interior designer who was part of HGTV's reDesign series as an assistant designer. Guess the pedigree isn't too shabby!

Despite the substitute, Joan agrees to let Julie to take out Melissa's shabby beige California look and replace it with some color and formal pieces (a la her own NYC apartment). While Melissa's away for the night, Joan stages a design coup on the unassuming space, overhauling it completely and giving away all of her daughter's furniture to charity.
