Over dinner last night, Arteriors Home founder Mark Moussa showed a bunch of editors the new customization capabilities of sister lighting brand Mottega, which was featured in the most recent issue of House Beautiful. Well, the Mottega site is now live, and it can be used to design lamps soup to nuts—shape and color of the ceramic base, finial, and shade. A preview window shows progress, and the system is rigged so that novice users can't make any gaffes—once the base shape is selected, only those shades that would proportionally make sense become available.
